More success for Iran’s short film anticipated

The row of achievements by Iran short film ‘Not Yet’ that started with an award, and went on with a special mention, is expected to continue with several screenings in international festivals.

Directed by Arian Vazir Daftari, the film was among the top 8 award winners in the ‘short film’ competition section of the 18th Moondance international film festival in the US.

It also received special mention at the short film category of the 6th Persian international film festival in Australia.

Jointly produced by Majid Barzegar and Iranian Youth Cinema Society, ‘Not Yet’ is also nominated for screening at several international film festivals, including the 20th Brooklyn Film Festival in the US, the 15th Vladivostok Film Festival in Russia, the 10th Seoul Senior Film Festival in South Korea, the 40th Mill Valley Film Festival in US, the 16th Miami Short Film Festival in US, the 6th Kaohsiung film festival in Tahiland, and the 7th KisKes Short Film Festival in Turkey. 

The cast list includes Farhad Aslani and Pante’a Panahi-Ha as the lead roles.
